YAY NEW PSYCH!!! I missed it so. And of course that means I must review. :)

Favorite Parts:

- I absolutely LOVE that Henry sets the scene for Santa's B&E. *squishes Henry*

- Shawn: "What are you supposed to do when a child's crying like this?"
Gus: "You cave." - Oh how I flashed on Gus with a little girl of his own someday...

- SNOOPY DANCE!!

- Watching Lassiter try to be smooth...and the object of his attention looking uncomfortable = priceless.

- Gus totally lumped Lassiter into the "friend" category. Not co-worker. Not acquaintance. Friend.

- Santa!Lassie. It's enough to make me want to be on the naughty list....

Random Supernatural Guest Star Also Showing Up On Psych:

- Don McManus. Carl for this ep. Also Don Harding in SPN's "It's the Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester."

- I'm not 100% sure on it, but Santa's Village looked an awful lot like the site of Oktoberfest in "Monster Movie"...

What Really Got Me to Love This Episode:

You know, I'm not sure how much I would've liked this one if I hadn't been missing Psych so much.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it....but I felt like it was missing a lot of what makes the show amazing. It felt more...disjointed than anything.

Maybe I just missed Lassiter.

I did really love the interactions between Henry and Shawn (both little! and big! Shawns). The opener made me want to give Henry a great big happy hug. He seemed so happy to watch Shawn think about Santa traipsing around the living room. It was just a good!Dad moment and it made my heart feel all fuzzy and warm.

I felt like a lot of the other interactions/relationships needed more time to really be fleshed out. Shawn/Joy intrigued me...but it was just a few quick gropes and awkwardness at the end. There was no real exploration of what their relationship may or may not have consisted of. The Shawn/Gus interaction even seemed a little generic to me.

The small bit of Shawn/Juliet didn't bother me like it had the past few episodes. It was still a bit of a "*sigh* You just had to put it in there, didn't you?" moment, but it was also a bit more back to the awkwardness of days past. They brushed at the issue and backed off with nervous laughter. I can deal with that.

All in all, this was a decent episode; it just felt rushed. (And I missed Lassiter.) Now it just needs to be January 9th (I'm totally willing to sleep through most of December).

As always, I would love to hear your thoughts/comments.
