too bad jenny can't seem to pick the right friends
jenny humphrey >> gossip girl >> g
Agnes is fun, bold and Trouble with a capital T. She’s erratic, finagles everything she wants and is unabashedly coquettish. But Jenny’s never felt so alive around someone, so invincible and out of this world. Even as they’re dancing around the living room of a strange man who Jenny can’t remember the name of, there’s a certain reckless abandonment in her movement, something vivacious and without corollary.
(Too bad Jenny can’t seem to pick the right friends.)
Damian is like the drugs he sells: addictive, alluring, dirty, and more than she thought anyone could do in their world. He burns with each kiss, searing and hungry, is fast with each touch and he opens her eyes to the rings inside the perfect moon, what can’t be seen but is hushedly known.
Unlike Agnes, Damian at least attempts to salvage her, at least attempts to keep her from behind prison bars. And unlike Agnes, Damian doesn’t go down without a fight, doesn’t get going when the going gets rough; Nate showing up, Nate threatening him, it’s a challenge, one Damian is willing to spear in the head for Jenny’s affections.
(Too bad Jenny always knew just how to choose the wrong knight.)
