Yes, yes, I know I don't post publicly often anymore
Yesterday was a rough one. I didn't get nearly enough sleep, but I was still energized and excited for my meeting with the volunteer co-ordinator at Dodge Nature Center. Let me back up. It's been a while since I've posted after all. The reason for the meeting is that I hope to volunteer at their working farm to gain some direct experience working with a diverse variety of large (read:agricultural) animals. To back up further, my interest in this stems from the career interest I have developed in being a Large Animal Vet (just like my Grandpa). Around 8.30 in the morning I received an email cancelling my meeting due to a scheduling conflict and I felt utterly devastated. Totally crestfallen. I cheered up as the day wore on, as I managed to reschedule at a good time for both me and their volunteer co-ordinator, as I watched the Cleveland Show over lunch (don't know who's seen it but I LOVE that show. I find it funny and heartfelt and smart. Much better than Family Guy or American Dad).
I still need to catch up on sleep. This morning I first couldn't find my glasses. I searched, mostly in the dark, for 15 minutes from the time I typically attempt to leave for work. When I found them it took me another 15 minutes of wandering the neighborhood to find where the car had been parked after Kristin's errand last night. 30 minutes behind schedule I went to work without the opportunity to stop at Walgreens and pick up my back-up lunch that I get when I have no left overs to bring in. I was angry and upset and depressed for a good hour and a half. I've chilled out though. Happy, Birth of the Bab.
