poemology
so tonight i hung out with casey. we went to mighty and i was able to write my final poem for my wings submission. here are all three of my spectacular poems. enjoy!:
A Cookie Sonnet
I love to eat cookies, oh yes I do.
I like the sound made when I munch, munch, munch.
Chocolate chip, oatmeal nut, and Oreo, too.
My favorite noise is to hear them crunch.
When I am feeling blue, I grab a bag,
Open it up, and grab a handful, yum!
Sometimes I eat so fast, I almost gag.
I ask my friends if they want to eat some.
I eat cookies anytime, most for snack.
Cookies are my favorite snack to eat.
I ask my brother, "Want a cookie, Jack?"
Jack says, "Cookies are my fave except meat."
Cookies are very good, oh yes they are.
I eat them when I am driving my car.
Ode to the French Delicacy
Everyday I wait 'til 5.2
And get my fries with ketchup too.
I save my pennies and nickels everyday,
So I can purchase yummy fries, yay!
Golden brown cut up potatoes
And ketchup made from tomatoes.
Peggy and Heidi, you have perfected the art,
not too sweet, not too tart.
Ketchup, cheese, hot sauce-oh, what do I choose?
Pick what you want, you never can lose.
So when you're feeling bleu, don't you worry,
Peggy and Heidi will make them in a hurry!
Save up your dollar and get french fries to eat
And as Mr. Emerling would say, "Bon appetite!"
Taco Mania
The MT man said, "Are you gonna eat all that?!"
"Duh!", I replied. And with my burrito, I sat.
So here I sit with my El Nino burrito,
I'm about to eat this whole thing, yo!
Golden, floured tortilla of mine,
Wraps my cheese, lettuce, and tomato so fine!
An abundance of beef -- 1/2 pound, as a matter of fact!
Holy cow, there is nothing this taco lacked.
Too heavy to lift, it must be stood up straight,
I want to take a bite, I just can't wait!
*Chew, chew, chew* -- yum yum, so much fun!
So delicious, I don't ever want to be done!
Ate it all up, and home I ran.
So now I say, "Take that MT man!"
