Hi!
This is the book discussion for Bitten. What did you think of it? Were you interested in the world? In reading more of the series? Did you like Elena? Did the romance work for you or not?

Great setting, likable characters that also - despite the werewolf thing - seemed real. As well as the well-placed sex scenes. Not too much or abnormal, so it all felt realistic. I really LOVED Clay! I think I fell for him the second he appeared. And I think my favorite sex scene with Elena was chapter 22. Excuse my language but that was HOT. AS. FUCK.
I wanted Elena to stay with Clay, though in the end, I also felt bad for her and Philip and their relationship. Philip seemed like a great and decent guy, and I, myself, even felt embarrassed for Clay, when he came to live with Philip and Elena for a while. How Clay behaved around Philip. Of course, he was pissed because he knew what Philip meant to Elena, but still… I kept imagining myself in Elena's skin and what I would have done…
Sometimes, I have problems liking female characters [it happens, no idea why really], but I didn't feel like that about Elena. I think I came to like her pretty quickly, especially when I found out more about her past. I really liked those flashbacks. I'm a sucker for flashbacks, whether it's books or television.
There were some twists I saw coming [Logan], and others that I didn't. It held my attention from the beginning to the end.

I really love Clay/Elena's relationship. Phillip really does seem like a great guy. Just not the one for Elena.
