So we can make this post about DABWAHA trash talking, or we could talk about character names which is something that came up in discussion on GoodReads this week and I think is worth revisiting. I, for instance, am approximately the age of many contemporary romance novel protagonists, and happen to be in possession of the most popular name for girls in the year of my birth. Yet there are virtually NO romance heroines with my name. It typically feels like authors are choosing names based on what's popular now instead of going back and choosing something that would have been popular then. Does this ever bug you? Do you even ever think about it?
Or we can just stick to the trash talking and what you're reading right now. Whatever works.
