Hi Maura =)

Excellent goals =) Sounds like you're a person with strong family values... And your accomplishments are really impressive. Good for you! (Also: Awwww, kitty! What's his/her name?)

As far as finding out who you are, a little quote I remember... "The moment a person wants to change is the moment that person begins to change." Or something to that effect. Just do what you feel is right, but at the same time, don't be someone you're not. You shouldn't feel the need to compromise an open mind just for the sake of being proud of yourself - There are other ways to do it.

*hugs*

I'm actually not very close with my family, nor do I have any close friends. We adopted a kitten this winter because our other one ran away. The new kitty's name is Phantom.

That is a pretty good quote. I know when I lay awake a night thinking, 'god I hope I see tomorrow.' Because as hard as days are, I want to know the ending to things.

I'm not so religious so I don't really have any thoughts on 'afterlife' and I wish I did. To an extent. But I know if I die...I won't know what could have been or would have been. And it's very unsettling. I guess I'm a person who has had many dissiapointments and wants closure a lot.

*hugs back* Life is rather crazy, makes me wonder so much.

I was so proud of myself when I finished my senior project, congrats on that! I did it all in one week, pretty much. >.< I wrote 10 short stories and took pictures to go with it, then bound it all in a book... What was yours?

I don't think that having an open mind will keep you from having firm morals. I am a strict vegetarian, but I cook meat for my husband and don't mind if people eat meat around me... I know that I can't force my beliefs on other people. All you have to do is know that you are right.

That saying "live each moment as if it were your last" - it's so much easier said than done. Every night before I go to sleep I tell myself "I'm going to do something tomorrow," and then I end up doing what I always do, sitting on the couch all day. Since my husband left for Iraq, it's hard for me to get motivation for ANYTHING; I guess I'm scared of doing things on my own.

Haha, yea. Seems like yours was a lot different from mine. We just had to create something, or like hold a benefit dinner or concert or something... Some people made chairs, some made prom dresses. That's good that you didn't cram, I am a terrible procrastinator; I often feel like I didn't do as well as I could because I always do things at the last minute ( ... )

Well let's see....we had to do about 5 months of research on a topic, make a thesis and then put together a 8-10 page paper. Get a mentor and put together yet another project and paper. And then make an hour presentation. -____- So much annoying work ( ... )
