I've been randomly reading LiveJournals and I have noticed a number of people who have a Friday Five. I think it's kind of cool, so I'm jumping on the bandwagon. I have no idea where these questions originate from, but I found them on
sillydragon's LJ.
1. How much time do you spend online each day?
[work] the whole day.
[home] almost none. When my new next-door neighbors get their wireless access point up and running, I am sure it will be more.
2. What is your browser homepage set to?
[work] our company intranet
[home] Yahoo!
3. Do you use any instant messaging programs? If so, which one(s)?
[work] our internal AIM client, regular AIM, and sometimes Yahoo!
[home] Yahoo! and occasionally ICQ.
I tried out Trillian, but I didn't play with it long enough to really decide if I like it or not. One of my co-workers swears by it, though.
4. Where was your first webpage located?
Many moons ago, I went to a high school called
The Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. That was in the fledgling days of the graphical browsers, and I had a very cool (note the dripping sarcasm...) web site hosted there. I was (am) a geek.
5. How long have you had your current website?
Well,
Tamos has been around since I started college, so that was Fall 1994. However, I haven't updated that site in years, except for my
Journal... but I guess that means I've had it for almost 9 years. I really am a geek! I had no idea I could quantify my geekiness like that... I should make up a stupid online quiz to calculate your geek factor based on things like that... Jeepers!
