Yeah, definitely migraine headaches, though research shows that they are not that dissimilar in some people. The latest development is that I get these incredibly intense headaches when I exert myself, like when exercising. As soon as I stop and my heart rate slows done, they go away. I really thought it was a sinus headache that was acting up, but I don't have any other symptoms and I read recently that migraine pain can feel like sinus pain sometimes. I'm telling you, I'm voting for the six pound tumor :)
I discovered from my doctor that sometimes sinus issues present with very odd symptoms. Like, tooth pain. I had NO other issues (running nose, "full" sinuses, typical sinus headache, etc.); went on the antibiotic and it resolved the issue.
This may be a stupid question, but before you run through the expense of an MRI, has your doctor treated you for a sinus infection? Especially if it's around when your are exerting yourself, I'd look at this.
Yeah, I know all about those sneaky sinus infections. Actually, my allergy medicine usually takes care of them, and I was on antibiotics not too long ago (actully while these weirdo headaches started) for another cold-type thingy-majiggy, so I'm confident that's not it. Trust me, I'm the most over-medicated person on the planet :) Besides which, my insurance will cover the MRI, so I just have to deal with the being afraid of what the results are bit. And now that the idea's in my head, I won't feel better 'til after it's done...
Yeah, water weight. I know. And I haven't been drinking the gallons I usually do. Stupid busy work... can't even drink my water! Still, though... it would be easier to blame it on the six pound tumor :)

MRI's aren't too bad as long as you're not clausterphobic. The actual test is pretty simple. The waiting for results is the worst part IMHO.
Have they ruled out tension headaches?
Let me know how things go. *HUG*
