[MOD] Public Service Annoucement #2 - Tags!
Alright, hey again guys. Sorry to pull the mod-hat twice in a night, but this is when I do all my work XD
Anyways! I finally figured out what was the matter with the tagging system. There's a super secret page on LJ that allows you to modify tags and such, and it had an option to make members able to add new tags. So, in addition to adding a few tags (like basic genres and a k-rating, along with fluff, discussion, and Mikaela), I've made it possible for YOU, the viewer, to add new tags. Sorry about that, everyone!
Alright so if you can't tell, this is my first time using the tagging system. So I've decided we'll play around with it like this:
-From now on, please tag ALL your entries with your user-name - whatever you're known as, that is. Also, be sure to tag fics as fics, art as art, and discussions as discussions. Anything not directly pertaining to Bee/Sam is considered off-topic and should be put under the off-topic tag.
-We're going to use the Fanfiction.Net rating system in tags, simply because most people use FFN to post their fic. So you can label it whatever you want in the entry, but use the FFN-rating tag that corresponds. If you don't know the ratings system, please check Fictionratings.com - it tells you basically what each one is designed for.
-I've removed the PWP tag and bunched all the NotSafeForWork fics that I could find under "smut." I chose that tag because a lot of our pornier stuff ISN'T pwp, and why have two tags for one basic thing?
--In that note, I also have made a tag, "human/holo!bumblebee". From now on, use that tag for any human/holo related stuff.
-Lastly, while I did remove some of the less obvious tags, I still think we should feel free to have "funny" tags, like "milkshakes" and (in my opinion) "gearshift". Mostly because one day someone might ask, "Why do those weird samxbee people get so hung up on my Camaro's gearshift/me drinking a milkshake?" or whatever, and it's fun. So yeah.
If you have any issues with tagging - and I totally understand it's not the easiest thing in the world - keep in mind that you can use the LJ faq and the little (?) button next to the tag button. If you aren't sure what tags to use, just post the entry, then go to the "comment" page and click the little tag icon above the entry's contents. (God I hope that made sense XD)
That being said, feel free to go through and tag your entries/past entries with any suitable tags. I'll work on making the site's layout S2 for those of you who would like to see the tags before you click on the LJ-Cut/link... *sigh* That's another thing I'm new at...
