saturday
my only truly japanese friends and i reunited, these were some of my oldest friends whom hadn't changed a bit. it made me wonder if I had even changed at all - i guess i'm still the quiet girl i was in the first grade, except a little bolder. Miyuki and Tina looked different; Miyuki chan mainly looks older and with dyed hair and Tina, I honestly dont remember much of what she looked like back then. Yui and Touru hadn't changed at all - especially Touru whom I hadn't seen for at least 5 or 6 years. I know I look different - a lot less asian and a lot more... something else. maybe mexican. who knows.
I went home and worried about the coming several hours. Would I stay in my room or run amok with Darin? The suspense.
I ended up at LBJ with the lovely Darin Matuzic and we discussed his car and people. A shallow conversation I must say, but catching up with eachother has to consist of shiny new material posessions and the juiciest gossip. I'm glad I got to spend time with him.
Then I called Ted for directions to Sacred Grounds and oh god that was a scary drive but i made it. After a horrible parking job I came in just in time for the squeegee's last song (jeff = sax). Then we went back to my car to put Jeff's saxaphone in it, then back up the street for some talking and eating and music.
I then proceeded to take Jeff home and we discussed life and whatnot and had a grand ol time. Power to the funk. And ska, maybe.
wednesday
love.
tomorrow is triggered to be a great day. Let's see if the bullet fires.
