I am 18, I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, and I don’t do drugs.

Because of this most people think I am boring, and refuse to hang out with me or invite me anywhere.

My secret, no matter how lonely I get, I am proud of myself for not falling into the trap of addiction that so many of my friends and family have succumb to.

If people think you're boring because of that, then they don't deserve your company at all. Those people are boring because they are so empty indside that the only thing that makes them interesting are drugs, alcohol or cigarettes. That's sad....I feel sorry for them.

Agreed. I will stick to my morals. I may be the bookworm girl, the slighty weird girl, the compassionate, introverted girl but it's someone I am proud of being. It's much better than being the party girl, because it will end one day. Everyone will grow up and the ones that drink and take drugs and call me boring because I dont, will one day realise that being like me isn't so bad after all.

Exactly! My real friends make an effort to spend time with me. It helps that my two best friends aren't into that stuff. I would rather stick to my morals, and have a night in with a couple of friends, then get drunk every day. It may make me seem odd, but I don't care.

I was the same at 18. Actually I am still kind of like that . Except that I drink a little now almost 10 years later.
Don't listen to anyone any one who thinks that a person is boring because they make different choices.
