I made myself the most delicious almost-entirely-local dinner today: Cabot pepper jack cheese on Red Hen bread made with organic Vermont wheat, grilled to crispy perfection in (non-local) olive oil. For a beverage, I made a pot of Vermont Liberty Tea Company tea. It is called "Skanda" and contains jasmine, orange peel, chamomile, cinnamon, fennel, bergamot, rosemary, peppermint, cardamom, damiana, licorice, and pepper. It is delicious and very relaxing.
It is so fun to eat local foods. Tomorrow I am making Science Potatoes.
