AHHHH. Oh, gosh.
So, I've just found out who my roommate next year at college will be. And she's all PRETTY and INTIMIDATING and already seems like, NICE so I just don't know what to do!
Well, I mean, obviously talk to her and whatever, but how do I do that and not reveal how weird I really am? I have STRANGE interests! If she doesn't like Star Trek and Supernatural, I just...oh, wow, cannot even contemplate it!
I went to a friend's (i use the term 'friend' loosely) and it's just made me realize just how poorly socialized I am! I was like the awkward one. I jumped right into it and all, but many times they started discussing events and people who I didn't know and wasn't involved with.
I guess it's partially because I've managed to get one or two close friends in a certain group of people, but never reached out to the others in that group. So, when I'm invited out with whatever group, I'm like the weird appendage that evolution didn't take care of. D:
I hope I can fix that next year. I want a healthy group of friends that all hangout and intermingle. And sure, I can branch out beyond that, and I will, but I need a core group! I don't have one, and that makes me sad.
So, core group? Will my new roommate become a part of it? I really don't know, and I'm scared to find out! Seriously, things just got all too real for me.
