Queen Anne (Bess) Mockup

Mar 24, 2012 14:45

So today is turning out to be just as good as yesterday!!!!  All of my fabrics and trims came and I have ordered the imported coutil to restock my supply. The mock up is finished and it is EXACTLY as I had planned in my head. Need to find cool buckles for the straps, but other than that I'm good to go. Just waiting for the fitting next weekend. The client will be in the area for one week. If all goes super well on mockup, I am going to attempt to deliver a finished corset before she leaves. Although, there is something special about anticipating and having a package delivered to your home. On second thought, probably am being way too ambitious as I am planning to floss every single bone (fully boned corset.) Accounting for the full boning, as well as the flossing, and hand finished bindings which are considerably longer because of the straps, there is no possibility that I could have it finished by week's end. Twas a good thought, though. :) Will post the mockup on LJ for those that helped in interpreting bust gore/cording. Now I can take a few days with the family to visit Disney and Universal without feeling behind the eight ball. SuWEEEEETTTT!!!    I am feeling so accomplished right now, it's not even funny. It is wonderful to have a vision and to watch it come to fruition. Okay. Well, off to straighten the sewing room and then it's a Harry Potter marathon and decisions to make about what we want to see at Universal first!!!!!
