Yum.

This is my new favorite sandwich.

Step one:
Drain tofu and slice into nice-sized pieces. Not too thin they'll fall apart, but not too thick or they'll never cook.
Step two:
Saute yourself some tofu and portabella slices
You can use whatever spices you like. I like to switch it up, but my mainstays are white pepper and onion powder. I also like to use rosemary, garlic and whatever else is in the kitchen.
Step three:
Get yourself a nice slice of Dakota bread from Great Harvest. This sandwich is alright on other breads, but you really need a good, thick, hearty one if you want the best experience. Sourdough will be sufficient for you white bread lovers.
Step four:
Get yourself some Lizano Salsa de vegetales y condimentos naturales. The bottle in my house came from Chile, but I'm sure you can find it somewhere closer. If not, you best get on the internet and order some because the sandwich is just inferior without it.
Step five:
Spread Lizano on the bread. Make sure it's a thick enough layer to fully cover the whole thing. This salsa is only a little spicy, so don't be afraid. It's also fucking delicious.
Step six:
Position sauted tofu strips on the bread so that they are covering the Lizano. A few holes are acceptable, but we're really going for a full layer.
Step seven:
Layer sauted mushrooms on top of the tofu. Since mushrooms don't come in very nice strips, they will probably sit less prettily on the sandwich. It's okay. At this point you're only going to be looking at it for about ten more minutes.
Step eight:
Sit your ass down and eat your sandwich! YUM!!
