Guh. So I mailed in my old passport to get a new one and the woman at the post office assured me that they would send the old one back with the new one (and also my fucking birth certificate because those are a pain in the ass as well) and I got the new one in the mail today, delivered by this 20 year old kid in a sketchyass beat up old car, and my old one isn't there.
Fuck you, passport guys. Seriously.
