Sometimes, Seishirou’s feet hurt from this eternal chase he’s been leading. But this only happens ever so occasionally. The other times, the hunter doesn’t know how to recognize the ache in his feet from the ache in his heart. It’s true that this chase is vital to him, he admits it to himself, but it doesn’t outshine his longing for it; after all the absence makes the heart grow fonder. So, he’ll admit to being a little bit selfish, chasing the twins throughout realms despite how much Kamui wants him away.
Sometimes, he wonders where they are, caught up in their escape as they are, too afraid to stay in the same place for too long. He wonders where he’ll go next and if he’ll manage to find them, if he’ll manage to talk and maybe even get what he wants. Most of all, he wonders how Subaru feels about the places he sees.
(Little does Seishirou know that nowadays Subaru sees nothing, seeing how encapsulated he is under the pure water.)
Sometimes, Seishirou scribbles sonnets in lost papers. Sometimes, he quotes them; other times, he’s their creator. However, every single time they are about longing, distant lands and solitude. He leaves them here and there, in each place he spends the night or makes a significant discovery about their progress or feels lonely. He leaves these sonnets in places he is sure that the twins would visit if they chose to backtrack into worlds they’ve been to before, to confuse him, maybe. Seishirou can’t help but wish that somehow Subaru finds them, reads them, and tucks them in the pocket. He can’t help but hope that Subaru will think about him, perhaps. Yes, that would be quite nice, too.
