The Riverside Drive In movie theatre in Vandergrift, PA will be holding another 2-night movie marathon this year. I posted the link in a bulletin, but in case you didn’t see it, I’ll give you the gist of it all.
The first night of DRIVE IN SUPER MONSTER-RAMA will feature an awesome line up that is worth the trip alone. The line up is as follows:
1.) Cry of the Banshee (1970) starring Vincent Price
2.) Frogs (1972) starring Sam Elliot, sans mustache
3.) Night of the Living Dead (1968) Romero classic
4.) The Crazies (1973) another Romero classic
The second night goes a little something like this:
1.) Blacula (1972) starring William Marshall (the King of Cartoons!)
2.) The Return of Count Yorga (1971) starring Robert Quarry
3.) Dracula vs. Frankenstein (1971)
4.) La Noche de Walpurgis ( The Werewolf vs. the Vampire Woman) (1971) starring Paul Naschy
Now if that line up wasn’t enough to make you want to venture out to this amazing little drive in, I don’t know what will. Maybe the fact that Caroline and myself will be in attendance might help motivate some of you to drive on out and have fun for the weekend.
It will be an awesome time. This theatre is one of the coolest drive in theatres I have ever been to. It is a great experience. Seeing 2 Romero movies at a drive in theatre just out side Pittsburgh is enough for me to make the trip out there.
Hope to see some of you out there.
