1st Visit to MadreDiablo & PadreDiablo's in 2008
Saturday, while at Lord Calvert’s [PadreDiablo’s cousin] double-wide mansion, I listened intently to family lore which at some points featured -by today’s standards, child abuse. Maybe it was the beer or the homemade chili but my heart was warmed. Got to get together with family more often. Good for the soul and all that jazz.
Entertaining bit of the weekend: Parent’s thought my birthday this year [mar.4th] was going to be my 40th [that’s next year]. This would’ve been hilarious if they went through with whatever plans were afoot. This means that they’ll forget next year. Fine by me.
