Gave patronage to the fine Texas Theatre on Wednesday, I was the only paying customer [+4-5 employees on site]
for the 9:30pm showing of "Kill List". They're non-profit but I worry there's not enough traffic to stay in business.
Retro, weird, foreign, horror, sci-fi -they don't always hit my tastes but the place does suit me. Maybe it's the beer
on offer at the bar. Fingers crossed. Thurs-Sun instead of
The List Killer
Bad sound and tough to follow accents [I'm from South Texas -Mexico, worked/neighbored with Indians and a
white South African -the worst accent]. With the bad sound and accent issues, I didn't feel bad seeing people post online
about using close captioning to watch the movie.
Even if you're up on mythology/paganism/story flow, this film will mess with you on some level. It's almost like an
update of the original "Wickerman" but without the camp. I can only imagine what a teen-twenty-something with a casual
interest in the surface of life would make of this.
