12252010 Day 6 of Captivity
0200 sniper-shot call from operations stating a drive is out. Luckily this particular vendor is on top of things and I left
it to Ops to “manage” with the CMiiGW* process.
The Main Attraction
The DASD repair of dual hard drives in one of the processors[server] hit a few snags which necessitated dragging my manager,
Ms.Ed who then dragged her manager, Weird Herald onto a conference call. There’s a small code mismatch but just in a header,
which is informational. Long story, not worth detailing how things got that way [vendor's fault].
Started at 1200; finished at 1900. I checked in on and off but this did keep me from getting out.
Now to bide my time until the machines call me to say they’re broken.
