TRON Crashes
Took in TRON: Legacy on Friday and no matter how I look at it, the movie was a letdown. I did see it at an IMAX theater and
this enhanced the -as expected- great visuals but this movie suffered from Hollywood/Popcorn scriptwriting.
The story flow was stock, perhaps this couldn't be helped but there were so many bad scenes.
1. Hero with weapon exclaiming, "that's what I'm talkin' 'bout!". This was tired ten years ago.
2. Psuedo bad-guy over-the-top character playing all the angles. Really bad casting here.
3. Technical advisor. It's a computer world, hire some people in their 40's, 50's still in tech
to go over the script.
4. Jeff Bridge's "The Dude" from "The Great Lebowski" was tiring after 30 minutes in that movie,
extended to this movie doesn't help.
Take it in as entertainment but don't expect this to be the second coming. Fuck you Disney.
