Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day is a good time to assess the liver strength in order to set your training regimen for the coming months. With colder weather come dark, heavy ales like winter warmers, barley wines and porters.
My liver seems to be at its ideal fighting weight at this time.
Official Party Business
Marking the event was the Guinness promo crew complete with a bagpiper. I thought it odd being that most Americans associate bagpipes with Scotland and Guinness is Irish. Luckily, the piper didn’t play long and the lasses in the mini-skirts made up for the noise.
A number of the group was off on a road trip to Florida, so things were a bit off balance. The October meeting is the night before Halloween; I think attendance might be slim then also.
