When Halfway is Good Enough
Tomorrow night, the Dallas 1759 Society meets at Trinity Hall for a special celebration.
It’s halfway to St Patrick's day! This is good enough as any excuse to drink beer for me. I have high standards, you know.
There's a Price on My Vice...and I want it in cash [Stan Ridgeway]
Planning still underway for the trip to Las Vegas. Yes - learning and networking will be done but vices must be sated. Gambling is ubiquitous, so I don’t have to do too much planning there, which allows me to focus on beer.
I’m going over beer destinations currently. There’s very little I haven’t had but this town isn’t going to get that wild with the beers, sure there’s one place -The Freakin’ Frog - but the beer list doesn’t grab me mainly because they’ve got a bad rep for serious overcharging.
I’m thinking it’s going to be a beer run on Sunday to stock up for general consumption plus the traditional smuggling back into Texas. Since I’m flying solo, I shouldn’t be closing down any bars…otherwise, I might wake up in a bathtub full of ice, missing a kidney.
