and I bet there alot of folks out there who don't really care. I do! I think NASA is getting back on track, especially after Deep Impact with Tempel 1. I've heard alot of comedians target NASA for doing some "stupid" things. Well they are human and they make mistakes, it's how we learn. I am praying that the shuttle is alot safer than it was but I am not one for boycotting the space program. If you've ever seen the movie Apollo 13, Tom Hanks quotes (could actually be a Jim Lovell quote) "imagine if Christopher Columbus returned from the new world and nobody followed in his footsteps?!" Of course he was replying to a reporter after being asked why return to the moon after we've already landed on it, but I think the quote can be applied to all aspects of life. How boring would it be if we never discovered anything new?!? Wow I never write a long post, I'm impressed but I love astronomy and the space program and well this is my time to shine with some knowledge and feedback. Godspeed Discovery and her crew!
