Oh, Alice. This gave me chills and brought tears to my eyes. Your love for the character shines through in every frame.

You make really fantastic use of the rhythm of the song. The opening montage of Buffy kicking ass has a great groove to it. One of my favorite-timed shots is Buffy stabbing Angel, and the flash of light on his face. (*sniff!*) I love the pairing of Faith stabbing the guy and then Buffy stabbing Faith. I like the bridge a lot, how it's basically a season-five-in-fast-forward, and you use the shot of Buffy jumping off the tower beautifully by intercutting with her resurrection. That shot gets used a LOT in videos, obviously, and that's one of the coolest ways I've seen! I loooove at 3:30, the shot of Buffy standing up into frame paired with the line "into the abyss I will run". GORGEOUS. And the final shot of Buffy, young and sassy, fists up and smirking, is absolutely perfect.

Selfishly, I really like that you kept it Riley-lite and Angel-HEAVY, because that is just how I like my Buffster.

In short, I love it so much!! I've saved it to my hard drive for repeat viewings. :D Fantastic job!

Can I ask you what programs you were using on the Mac for DVD ripping and getting into a format good for FCP? I'd love to get back into vidding at.... some point, and any advice is welcome!

Wow, I am completely and utterly flattered. *blush* :) It's one thing to connect to the vid myself, but something entirely different and immensely satisfying to have someone else feel strongly about it! Thank you for taking the time to write all the specific feedback, it's very cool to read. :)

In terms of the ripping, my school had a set up with an analog-to-digital converter box which connected to a regular DVD player and a Mac. I played the source directly in the DVD player, it went through the converter box, and I used FCP's "capture" feature to pull it straight from the playing DVD. Therefore the clips were directly imported into FCP in mov format, which was very helpful!

Good luck with the vidding, I would love to see what you come up with!
