I'd hoped, by this point, to have more details about my DJing this Saturday; maybe even a flier or something. Instead, just text for now: It's a benefit for the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund. Saturday February 20th, $5, 21+, free after 10pm. It's at The Smiling Moose on the South Side (of Pittsburgh). Live electronic music from 7pm - 10pm (Nyarlathotep, Paralyzed Circuitry, Terror Firma Sky, Dinotrax, and Bit Mummy). Dance Music by the SSDP DJ's and friends from 10pm - 2am (N8theSk8, Ding!bat, Hiem, Reich, and of course me).
With less genre restrictions on me than I had at Ceremony, I expect to play an eclectic mix of flavors possibly including pop, house, EBM, goth, rap, and bhangra, mashed up live and served with secret sauce. All dance-oriented, no filler or meat by-products, all made-to-order from scratch and not pre-mixed.
Yesterday's Dork Tower pokes gentle fun at LiveJournal, but I can take it. This is still the only social networking site I use regularly. I just can't get into Facebook; it is designed to keep you constantly checking, impossible to go back into the archives. If I depend on it, I miss things. And it really doesn't loan itself to long, thoughtful updates, or to any kind of back-and-forth discussion.
But I've said all that before.
I'm about to approach the endgame in Mass Effect 2 (I've been spoiled inasmuch as being told a certain mission is the "point of no return"), and it has me gripped tightly enough to stave off cabin fever AND any desire to start Bioshock 2. Since this sort of thing is terribly boring to you, I haven't been posting much.
