Motorcycle Safety Program

Oct 01, 2009 11:10

Tonight I belated begin the Motorcycle Safety Program, 15.5 hours over four different days dedicated to intensive learning, which ultimately culminates in my permit becoming a license
(assuming I'm not an incompetent idiot). Two Thursdays of class; two Saturdays of five hours of riding.

I've never ridden a clutch before (my scooter is a modern automatic) but I should learn how. Honestly, what I'm most nervous about is the weather. Rain or shine, we ride, and I don't want to spend five hours in the freezing rain. Nothing much for it though; thanks to my accident, I either take it now or have to try to squeeze into one of the very first classes next year. (Or, my permit expires.)

We're lucky in Pennsylvania. In other states, people have to pay a few hundred bucks for the class. Here I take it for free, thanks to your tax dollars!
