I took Friday off, thinking this weekend would be a Resident Evil 5 marathon.
Sadly, it didn't work out that way.
First, there were some technical problems, especially when I tried to play co-op with my brother. Then I got distracted with chores and decided to go out. Then I ended up going to Connellsville to visit my family. So those of you laughing at my
pitiful acheivements for only having made it to chapter 2-1, well, there's your excuse.
We did finally work out the co-op last night, though: my brother's headset was busted. So, I
picked up a new gaming headset and gave him my old one (the low-end standard "Live" headset). Total silver lining: the sound is way better, they are more comfortable, and they included an adaptor that lets me run the game volume through the headphones so I can mute the television (which I think Jen really likes). I am having problems with the game drowning out the chat, but I might just have to fiddle with some settings.
I know I say this EVERY Spring when the riding weather starts, but I'm strongly considering getting a motorcycle license so I can pick up a scooter with a bigger than 49cc engine. Especially now that I've seen the
BlackJack, which is even more obnoxious and ugly than Honda's Ruckus family. (I can normally sedate my taste for the gaudy, but get me in front of two-wheeled vehicles and suddenly I'm King Of The Douchebags.) I'm not sure if 150cc is going to be enough, but I also don't want an excess of power, in the interest of fuel economy; I'd just like to be able to safetly do highway driving sometimes. I know I have a few motorcyclists on my friends list; any thoughts on the legal issues and/or performance benefits of adding the Prima pipe they tout as an "off road, closed-course use only" add-on?
Of course, I should also consider practicality (i.e., "how much groceries can I carry?") and it's not like I'd get anything without checking it out (and some competitors like Vespa/Piaggio or Yamaha, too bad Honda abandoned the 125cc-250cc market) in person. I'm also getting way ahead of myself since I've been talking about getting a motorcycle license for like three years now, and never gotten farther than the PA DMV website. Maybe you guys could shame me into it?
