How do you even go about asking someone out without sounding like a complete & utter LOOOOSERR?

I miss my dad.. I haven't seen him since 6 years past and I thought I'd never think of him again. But here I am, wondering where he is. What he's doing. Wondering if maybe he misses me too. Maybe he's wondering what I'm doing? You'd think, your own child - you'd want to know if they're dead or not. Maybe that's just me romanticising the situation. Perhaps not.
