Phil must have had the patience of...someone who really knew how to put up with bullshit. It was all Clint could think to himself during the past couple days that were leading up to the full moon. With every passing day he was growing more and more irritable, angrier. If he snapped at Phil it wasn't on purpose, mostly. He would apologize a ( Read more... )

Phil was incredibly patient. Of course, that didn't mean that Clint didn't piss him off at times. Sometimes Clint really was an asshole, but Phil understood why. He tried to just deal with it. He hoped that after they got through the first full moon, Clint would be less tense. They would be fine after that. He just needed to see that it was okay. Besides, it wasn't as if Clint wasn't constantly doing things to try to make up for it. Phil recognized that ( ... )

"I actually think it was cos you looked so damn pathetic runnin' after me barefoot." Clint gritted out from where he was sitting on the sofa which was between now a rock and a hard place. Or rather the arm of a sofa and Phil. The younger man crossed his arms in front of his chest as he tried to take as much space on the couch as he could without taking Phil's. But...not really allowing him any room to get comfortable himself. It was his space, after all. Once again, Clint would figure out a way to make it up to him in about an hour or so. The apartment was already spotless so cleaning as an option for forgiveness was gone ( ... )

"Yeah? Whatever does the trick. I'm not above using guilt and emotional blackmail to get what I want." He smiled stiffly. Half of him wanted to smack Clint, but he ignored that half. The man also got him dinner an he knew Clint wasn't trying to be so abrasive. "Food's fine."

He sighed. "I can chain you in the bathroom. There are no windows and I can barricade the door in case you get out of the chains. I was trained to handle violent insurgents. I think it'll be fine, Clint." He could do this. Clint just had to be contained. If Phil could handle several armed men, he could handle one large wolf. It didn't matter if Clint just trashed the bathroom or something. Phil was handy. He could fix it.

When they were over all of this and Clint was feeling extremely better than he was right in this moment? Phil was going to get an apology. "That's good to know next time you tell me to do the dishes." Clint watched Phil for a moment, waiting for him to get his buttons pushed one too many and tell him to get out. It was what he was expecting after the first couple hours of Clint arguing with him to the point where he was sure he saw a vein popping out of the man's forehead. But still, Phil said nothing. He let whatever Clint spun at him roll off and even quipped back at times. But he didn't seem angry with him.

Huh.

"What? No...fuck." Clint didn't want to be near a human population during this. Let alone in his friend's apartment, where the capability of getting out was too much of a risk. "With violent insurgents you don't have to worry about them breaking out and eating you, Phil." He did have to worry about them breaking out and shooting him, but he figured the wolf would be faster. He knew it was going to be. He ( ... )
