"Hey, Tori," Sam replied, sparing her a quick smile as he descended from the ladder. "I guess I got a little carried away, didn't I?"

"Getting kind of antsy," Sam confessed. About several things, granted, but the main one being . . .

"My girls are gonna be here really soon!"

That, judging from the grin that lit up his face brightly enough to make his Christmas display suffer fits of inadequacy, was the happiest reason.

"Oh, gods, don't say that," Sam blurted out. "There's still so much to do! Like --"

He trailed off and blinked. "I think we've done most of it already."

"That ever seem like a weird phrase to say to you?" Sam asked, as if it had just occurred to him -- which it had.

"Nope," Sam grinned. "Didn't think about it until just now."

"This is part of why you're awesome, Hanson," Sam told her. "Just part."
