So, I went on an interview yesterday. I haven't really been looking for a new job, but this was a special instance. It requires a little back story.
First, when I was looking for a new job last year(April), I went on an inter view at Tim Hunter Design
http://www.timhunterdesign.com. They called me back the next day and told me they wanted to hire me. We talked about $$$ and benefits and I thought I had an official offer. At the time, my current boss was about to go on vacation in two weeks for two weeks. So, instead of having to wait a month to give my two weeks, I gave it right then. A week later, the offer disappeared. The company had put a freeze on hiring.
Sometime in July I pick up my current job at SIA
http://siaacoustics.com. It's a good job, I have a lot of freedom and I love my boss. However, the money could be a little better and it's not exactly what I want to be doing with my life. So, one day when I'm scanning Craig's List I find that Tim Hunter Design is hiring again. i'm a little depressed with life, so I decide to drop my contact there a line. He says, they'd still be interested in me and would I come in for an interview. So, I brush up my portfolio and go in for an interview.
Monday morning at 8am...Ugh. and it was snowing so commuting was bitch. Well, the interview went fine. I think they want to offer me the job, but I'm not sure I want it at this point. This company seems a little stuffy, but cool. and I don't think they want to offer me the money that I want. Plus, their vacation/sick time sucks. Only 8 days for the whole year. That includes sick days. So, if you're sick, you lose vacation days.
Now, I'm stuck waiting on whether I get a job I'm not sure I want. I don't think I'm going to take it unless I they offer me the money i want, and then I'm in a big conundrum. money or life?
