well. all is well over here. i'm just chugging along at my externship. I've come to realize I'd like to work with all elementary kids, not just 3-5 year olds like i am now. however, at this point i'll be pleased to have a job. right now i'm busy applying to jobs, looking for jobs and all that jazz. jorge unofficially got a job at the fish hatchery he's beeing working at the past 2 years, which is awesome, and that means we'll be living in prairie du chien at his grandpa's house which is also awesome, what's not awesome is that all my jobs seem to be onthe east side of wisconsin - and very few near the PDC area. we shall see. i think it just means i'll have a long commute. ah well. again, i'll just be happy with a job - wow can't believe it's almost over. the real world is looming close! i really do enjoy being a student, and already this semester i have wished i just had like an hour of class - instead of 8 hours of work...it sucks extra bad b/c i'm not getting paid, ya know. so that certainly will help. i'll just be glad when people stop watching me all day every day. although - i know then i'll turn around and want some help, or want to ask a question - and no one will be there to help me! anyways, april will be a busy month, i have lots of testing and IEP's to write, and IEP meetings to conduct. i'll be glad when june comes and i'm done with my externship - i enjoy my supervisor and everything, it's just alot of work..and i really want my own caseload. i'm keeping all my ducks in a row - i passed the praxis test in november, passed my HUGE comps test that was in January, and all i need is 1 more observation from the UWSP liason, and i'm set! wohoo. ok time to wash dishes and grab a bite of food
-oh BTW, wedding stuff is going well. all springs break was wedding central. mom came to MN and i drove up and we found cake, flowers, dress for me, dress for brides maids, reception, rehearsal dinner site, hotels, all the big stuff. the last huge thing that is looming are invitations - and even save the dates, we have yet to send...uh-oh i know we'll be cutting that stuff close! i can't find any nice casual, cabin-y invitations...it's frustrating. i'm sure we'll find the perfect ones soon. ta ta!
