My train trip through Japan part 6/? [October 2019]

In my previous travel report about my traintrip through Japan, I told you there was a typhoon heading for Japan, and as a precaution all shinkansen (intercity bullettrains) were suspended. Wow, that must have been scary to think you had a Typhoon headed toward you. I'm glad you were able to make the most of your down time!

I felt really safe because the country was well prepared to deal with the Typhoon; they had a clear plan and people kept calm. There was good communication about the situation and it was reassuring to see several crews of emergency services around, ready to step in if needed.

I know it was really bad in Tokyo, so I was glad I didn't get stuck there.

That does look a bit wet and windy! Well done for braving the conditions and making the most of your enforced extra stay! We have one of those temple charms, it has a wild boar on it (one of Paul's fave creatures) but I can't remember which temple it came from.

I love stormy weather:) So what if the golden temple wasn't as shiny with a cloudy sky, it was still awesome to see!
