Land of Art [Phase 11] - Ch 14: J is for Jam to Your Own Song
Another challenge with a music theme; this time we had to include (part of) lyrics of our choice. Any type of image was allowed and we had several options of designs. I created an Icon, a Colorbar and a Picspam:) For the latter I was happy I managed to make my combination of pictures a little more dynamic than my previous effort, where I just put them together in a 2x4 frame. I really enjoy that landofart keeps giving me opportunities to tweak my work with every new challenge:)
I chose my images first and then thought of lyrics that would fit the mood of those. Can you guess the songs I chose?
Sarah Conner: "Sometimes my mind plays tricks on me"
Orphan Black - Sarah, Krystal, Helena and Felix: "I'm useless, but not for long, the future is coming on"
Skam - Isak & Even: "When the days they seem to fall through you, well, just let them go"
Before, lyrics & fonts
After playing with colours, I roughened up the image with this scratchie brushset from Eggler at DeviantArt. Setting the anti-aliasing method of the text to strong (instead of the default sharp) improved the readabilty:)
SONG: Basket Case by Green Day.
FONT: Violation by Kiwi Media.
Didn't do a lot of editing here, just lightened up the images that needed it, arranged them in a square and put a yellow filter on top to give them all the same feel.
SONG: Clint Eastwood by Gorillaz.
FONT: Brushed by Pizzadude.
Biggest challenge here was to get all the different screencaps looking the same, not as easy as I had hoped, but I think I did get Isak's hair the same glorious blond in all of them eventually;) Used a scratched metal background texture from Lost & Taken.
