A good start

First off I apologize for spamming your flist with my new sticky post. I hadn't noticed the new box I had to tick to avoid that happening. Oops.

Part of the new toppost in my journal is my booklist for 2013. Everybody gave me books for my birthday, so I already have a tiny bookpile, wahey!

Last year I managed to finish 39 new books (fiction and non fiction) and only gave up on two books (ibid). I reread the previous five parts of the Nightrunners series by Lynn Flewelling and also Tigers & Devils by Sean Kennedy, all in preparation for sequels, which were both very satisfying:). Sadly I failed to keep up with my bookreviews, I want to do better this year. I didn't count the massive amount of fanfic I read, I will try and estimate later. I'm going to keep a proper list in 2013.

I had planned to finish reading one more book in 2012, but my mom came home early, so I stopped reading to celebrate New Year's Eve. I did read it before I went to sleep, but it was already 3 a.m.-ish so I'm not sure if Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs counts for last year. I've included it for 2013, so that's one down, lots more to go:)

I'm working on an illustrated masterlist for my artwork, but coding is going to take a while.

It's hard to believe tomorrow regular life is starting up again. I've had twelve days off in a row, such heavenly freedom. *sighs* Am a little anxious to find out how the work-saga continues, I fear the worst.1 Dundundun...

For the rest of the evening I will relish the relaxed feeling I started the year with, not in the least thanks to the marvelous shower at my mom's. (It's so much better than my own)

Today was a good, good day.

1 For a second there I read that sentence half in Dutch with "worst" meaning sausage. Heheheheheheh. I don't fear the sausage.

i love to read, mmmbooks
