Oh the weekend
Everyweekend I think Friday is going to be a relaxed day, but no of course not, its catching up to everything I missed earlier in the week. The thing about living next door to briangee and watterflower is the ability to triple task. I was getting myself ready for the weekend while helping briangee andwatterflower make dinner...a lot of my job was cut the sausages or stirring stuff, then running to my house to change laundry or flip the bacon (for dinner that bodypainted , busanna , and AS ended up cooking.
For lunch it was Jumbalaya..I am a true believer that you can never go wrong with this dish. briangee used a different type of sausage then usual for this meal which was good but had a little less bite to the sausage then normal. Luckily the Jumbalaya itself was nice n' spicy. I just can't describe Jumbalya if you haven't had it, try it, and screw the whole tomato sauce thing it tells you on the box of Zataran's go for the enchilada sauce that's what gives it the kick. There was also cornbread which was mainly snacked on in the shed during the storm...mmmm honey and cornbread. Tasty.
Then came dinner, Pork Tenderloin and Cold Sesme Noodles in Peanut Sauce. There was a crap ton of noodles I remember having to mix in the peanut sauce in batches...crap tons of noodles. This is my favorite dish thatbriangee makes. I love the peanut taste on the noodles. Even though these noodles were spicer then normal it balanced the flavor of the pork tenderloin nicely.
You know what's really good, pork tenderloin...do you know what's even better? Pork tenderloin spiced by briangee with peanut noodles..mmmmm
I enjoyed it thoughorly then the rains came and everyone scattered. That night I slept on top of a quaint little stream in my tent, leaving sunday to be the drying out of said tent and sleeping bags which only took 3 hours.
So sleeping in a dry place sunday night, the only proper thing to do is to steal all the blankets from clairepea ...of course.
I could post about the roast, but others can do that for me I have many opinions that I will share later.
I do like the new idea of heckling the chess game that has come into play now at the chess board (with the elephants) at 6pm every Sat. It was me,briangee, watterflower , triangleman , trianglegirl , and a lot more people. We actually drew a crowd which is funny in itself and
we got really strange looks from the kids that were playing It has become a new fun thing to do in the evenings. There should be more heckling.
Okay lots more happened this weekend including me being incredibly lazy, and now I should get back to work.
