Really enjoyed watching the royal wedding 'cos it was such a feast for the eyes! The fancy hats and head pieces were my favourite. Ladies aside, David Beckham looked impeccable in his suit! I loved their old buildings and castles too. The whole ceremony, the rituals, the people and buildings reflected their rich history and culture. Something which sadly, I think Singapore lacks.
Anyway, I was reading a little about the royal family and found out that Prince William had a very dear relationship with his late mother Princess Diana. When the royal family deprived Diana of her 'Her Royal Highness' title after her divorce from Prince Charles in 1996, William (then 14) told her "Don't worry, Mummy, I will give it back to you when I am king." He gave his mom's sapphire ring to Kate during his own engagement as a way of keeping his mom "close to it all". That's really heartwarming.
