Believe it or not, I kind of forgot about this whole "lj" thing. It has been so busy! I suppose it slipped my mind.
Jocie came in. We saw Shrek 2. Cute. She was supposed to be here all week, but- long story short- could only stay for barely a day. That was really sad. But at least I got to see her I suppose. Bittersweet is the word.
Last night was the first night of shooting an indie film I'm in. I play a super goth girl, so I had to paint my nails black and wear black jewelry and sooooo much black makeup- all over my eyes and lips. I really looked scary. Like, I went to the bathroom, and when I looked in the mirror, I kinda did a double-take- like WHOA.
Before we started, the director asked me if it was okay if we went kinda late, and I was like, "Um, sure! I'm a night person!" Then at around 11 or so I asked when he thought we'd be done, and he replied, "Probably not until around 3." Um, I thought he was joking. I was soo hot and soooo tired and hungry (did they feed me? nope). We were shooting in the Radisson hotel for a while, so I bought some food in the Friday's there. We wrapped in the apartment at 2:56 I believe, and we were in South Austin, so I didn't get back home until after 3:30. (parents not thrilled)
We shot the last scene where I die. Yep. Die. Ew, it was gross. They had to cover my face in fake blood, a mixture of water, smelly ketchup, Dial soap, and red and blue food dyes. Needless to say, it was not pleasant. Some got in my eye and ear and hair. Yuck! This shot happens after some fight scene where I get stabbed, which we're shooting tomorrow night (which I guess is tonight, considering what time it is). I'm afraid. Anyway, they made up my face w/ huge bruises, and for the shot where I was supposed to have been dead a while, they made my face pale and outlined all the veins in it, like they were popping out or something. When I looked in the mirror, I was so f-ing freaked out. It was scary. Like right out of Kill Bill or something. But not really. Then they drag off my dead body. Hehe, that part was kinda fun! It was too hard for me to keep my eyes open while not blinking or breathing for the whole shot, so we had to just reshoot w/ my eyes closed. Sorry. Can't help it. Plus, I was worried the blood would get in my eye. Ew, I can still smell the ketchup.
Since I went to bed after 4 and slept till almost 3 today, I am SO not tired now. And here I am.
Tomorrow I have TWO jaw apppointments (different doctors/offices, mind you). Thursday I have one. Friday I have TWO-- one of which is THE INJECTION. Holy shit, I am scared. Oh, and tomorrow I get stabbed too. What a day that will be!
