Just got back from dinner out with extended family for my cousin's b'day. I had a few drinks so I may or may not be a little on the tipsy side right now.
Although I've decided that, since I've tried a couple of different types and didn't like a single one, I am not a beer person. I'll just stick to the spirits.
For some reason I was really grumpy today. I didn't mean to but it seemed I was bitching non-stop and annoying my sister all day. I think I was docile for an hour and a half there after I had a nice little caffiene fix but then I was grouching again. After a Corona and 3 vodka sunrises, I'm nice again. Lol!
Don't forget, if you want to request a fic or fanmix made especially for you, let me know
here. My Sister and I went to see Sherlock Holmes today.
It was AMAZING!!!!!
I really, really liked it!
I think Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law were fantastic! They had a great rapport with each other too.
Holmes is totally crazycakes but so brilliant at the same time. I loved the little snippets in his mind where we saw him plan his next moves in slow-mo, assesing and planning at the same time.
I loved that he was so goddamn badass and unpredictable. One second he seems totally off his rocker and the next he's the sanest, most logical man you've ever seen.
And his experiments! So cute! And I also thought his jealousy was childish and utterly adorable.
I half expected him to burst out at Watson; "Then don't leave me!" And the way he always refers to them as 'us' and 'we' and the house and the dog and clothes as 'our'. Could he be more in love with his BFF?
Speaking of Watson; I loved him too! He was great, taking care of Holmes and being patient 80% of the time and then randomly getting exsperated with him. And there's no way he's gonna give it all up when he and Mary get married. He loves the adventure too much. What's he gonna do, open a practice? Treat snotty noses and stomach bugs? Yeah, right.
And I really, really liked that even though it was a period and mystery, it still was an action movie with chases, bad guys and things going boom. Awesome. And I'm really excited too 'cause they left this big, wide window open for a sequel. Yay!
In all, I think this movie was so bloody fantastic and my sister said it right when she told me; "This ain't your grandaddy's Sherlock Holmes."
