Brother vs Brother

Ok, one last spam before I go to bed. It's Srs discussion time.

Had a few thoughts about SPN today, so spoilery for 5.08.

Even before Changing Channels, I'd been thinking on this. What Gabriel said just intensified it. I'm terrified that Sam and Dean are gonna give in and if that happens, only one of them is coming out alive. It's a no-win situation.

If Lucifer and Michael take the boys and fight, no matter what, Dean & Sam lose whatever the outcome.
If Lucifer wins, humans are fucked, Dean is dead and Sam is lost forever. He'll never regain control and would he even want to? He's had to live without Dean before. I can't see Sam wanting to do that again. He'd be completely broken; just how Lucifer wants him.

On the other hand, if Michael wins, what does that mean for humans? Just what are the Angels hoping to achieve. Yeah, Yeah, Utopia and all of that but what does that mean? As far as we've seen, without Daddy Dearest looking over their shoulders, Angels couldn't give a rats-ass about humans (Cas excepted because IIRC he told Dean that he cares for humans. It was in TGPSW I think, at the park?)
On a more personal level, Sam would be dead and Dean would be the one lost forever. We already know that Dean won't allow himself to live when Sam isn't, as AHBL showed up. But I don't know if it would even matter once Dean consented. Where Lucifer would never give up Sam so he could walk the Earth and function at his full power like he wants to, if Michael returned to Heaven, what would be left of Dean?

SPN have shown us that Archangels are way more damaging than your average Angel. Raphael's Vessel was an example of that. Do you think it's a matter of strength? Compatibility? Would they retcon enough to say that Dean is strong enough to handle Micheal within him? Raphael's Vessel's brain was turned to swiss cheese. Would Michael do the same to Dean?

What got me started on this was actually one of my Supernatural T-shirts. The one that says, "Winchester Bro's Hunting Evil since 1983"
The picture drawn on with that is an Angel and a steryotypical Devil battling. They both have wings; the Angel's feather and the Devil's more jagged. The Angel has a sword and a sheild as well. The Devil has horns and a arrow tail and a pitchfork. It also appears that the Angel is winning, with the Devil falling down and his crown being knocked off.
Here's some pics so you can see too.

Do you reckon, coincidence? Or perhaps a hint? I'm not sure but whatever it is, I'm still scared for Our boys and what they will choose.
