Vegas was fun. Lots of bright lights, loud noises, huge crowds. Gambling, drinking, etc. A couple things:
- Found a jukebox in a deserted gay bar that let you play any music you wanted. Got strange looks from the bartender as I drunkenly got down to Isaac Hayes and Curtis Mayfield. I felt like saying "What the fuck are you looking at? You're the one without a shirt on." Probably the first time soul music was ever played there. Probably the last time, too. Not like I'm ever going back there; the place was a dump, even for a gay bar.
- There are photographs of me, dressed in a Hawaiian shirt and khaki shorts, wearing a green "LAS VEGAS" visor, standing in front of the entrance to the Circus Circus casino. This is how I dressed the entire time I was in Las Vegas. My personal tribute to R. Duke.
- The Hoover Dam is massive and huge and gigantic and actually very art deco looking.
- Lots of friendly, drunk people in Las Vegas. Also lots of rude Chinese and huge pictures of peoples' asses are everywhere.
A more detailed report once I put forth the effort.
