Learning About Scams
Where did you learn about all the various scams out there?
Most likely it was a piecemeal process over many years. That's how it was for me. But even then, I didn't know half of what was out there. For many people, reading a book on the subject could make the difference between blowing a life savings and retiring comfortably.
Perhaps I could put together a workshop and charge people $40 a head for it. Instead of a get-rich-quick scheme, I'd peddle a keep-your-money plan. As glamorous as that sounds, I'm convinced that an education in the basics of scam avoidance would go a long way.
