Inward Scream 2007 NYC
The concert at NYC was freaaaaking crazy/awesome.... prepare for a longasss [and somewhat humorous and disturbing review]
The meet
so I begin by meeting up with drangedsymphony around 8-9pm in times square, and keep in mind I have never met her before in my life besides on LJ. So we have all our blankets out and cardboards to sleep on overnight, but after a few hours the security guards eventually kicked us out of the curb and told us to go home or else we'll get arrested. So we left, but we wrote down our names so we can get back to the front of the line for the next day, so we ended up sleeping at maria and kate's dorm [drangedsymphony's friends] at SVA.
Yes I ended up sleeping in a stranger's dorm next to a person I've just met for 3 hours; I was surprised my pants were still on when I woke up XD *cough*
the wait
So the next morning around 10:30am we headed out to Nokia theater again, and people were already lining up for a few blocks, but we were just too cool and cut through the front of the line to get to our VIP spot, sorry NYC fans that's just how it was ;p while on line, we got into a huge bitch fight about the line and who was where... too much drama for me so I just spaced out for a few hours. After around 3, Lili [drangedsymphony] and I decided to check out how long the line was, and here is the video! [the camera was shaking because I was too cold]
around 5-6pm the line actually went close to around 8 blocks long. I dont remember what we did for all those hours, but we had to move back a lot, and that meant a lot of pushing. Also some chick bumped into me causing me to burn my hot beverage all over my arm. Twice. While on the line, I've met the weirdest person ever- a 35/36 year old hardcore diru fangirl. She somehow cut the line and ended up behind us, and began grilling Dir en Grey fangirls and telling about how horrible they are, while she was a hardcore fangirl herself. She follows them to Japan. And she got Toshiya some porn movies. Though she was pretty nice if you're on her good side.

As we finally got inside at 6pm, I ended up 2nd row from the barrier in the middle. As we waited for Bleed the Dream, someone blew up two condoms into balloons and started throwing them around the crowd- some people began screaming "ITS A CONDOM AGH DESTROY IT" while others began cheering and reached out to hit it. As it came near my group, everyone started screaming "GET IT AWAY KILL IT" so I got out my choke collar [with one inch spikes] and reached out and popped the condom balloon, and everyone cheered for me as people were like "damn that condom broke so easily!-snortgiggle-".. that was my moment of elite fame. One of the guards actually shook my hand and told me that was awesome. So we waited for almost another hour until Bleed the dream came on.
Bleed the Dream
Bleed the Dream came on and they were actually a nice band; I enjoyed their music which included headbanging and everything else you do... but everyone noticed that the singer's fly was opened during the whole performance. Also the drums totally took over the show; the base drums were so loud it blocked out all the singing/guitar sounds but it was enjoyable anyway. He threw water into the crowd and got us hyped up saying "ARE YOU READY FOR DIR EN GREYYY?!?!?!" which suddenly a wave of pressure began pushing people into each other. After a few songs, Fair to Midland came on.
Fair to Midland
... was HORRIBLE. The music on their myspace was pretty good, but when it came to the live they were absolutely dreadful. As usual the bass drums stole the show and the singer began having chronic uneccesary seizures and began drooling excessively. At first his bald spot wasn't so big, but as the show continued it just started.... GROWING. Some girls began jeering at the drummer who looked like Jesus and began screaming "HEY JESUS CHRIST GIVE ME YOUR MAGIC STICK!"
It felt like forever, and thats when the moshpit started getting restless and people began shoving and cursing and cutting to get to the front, and one girl behind me was screaming "STOP SHOVING OR ELSE I'LL FUCK YOUR MOM AND I'LL FUCKING FUCK YOUR DAD AND I'LL FUCK YOU UP".. then finally Fair to Midland finished. The singer didn't really announce it, he just walked off even before the band finished playing.

This is when the crowd began to seriously kill. Already about 4 people had to get dragged out of the moshpit because some couldn't take the pressure/heat, and one already fainted from the chaos in the pit. Most of them were.. really really big so it took a few guards and a lot of fans to get them out. I helped out with most of them, but as I got them out I was pushed back to the 3rd row which evidentially pissed me off. The total amount of time it took to get people out of the pit must've been about 30 minutes... then finally...
G.D.S started playing. and NO ONE knew G.D.S so I ended up screaming [and cursing] "ONLY 8 FUCKING TIMES" repeatedly because a lot of people got pissed that others didn't know GDS. So Shinya came out with his luxurious blond hair, Die came out [and I swear that man really did jump into a pool of sex and died in that pool of sexy because he was DAMN FULL OF SEX], toshiya came out, kaoru, then Kyo. He did something like a prayer/greeting for us, and that was amazing. He looked a lot healthier than when he was in the FVT.

The Moshpit
As Diru started playing, some girl behind me was dragging down my pants and actually RIPPED off my favorite belt, which costed a good 25-30 dollars, so as you can expect, my pants began falling down, and the pit was so chaotic and squished it was impossible to put my arms down to pull up my pants unless I wanted to get pulled under and get trampled on, so I let my pants fall XD So during the entire diru performance, my pants were down to my ankles but no one noticed.
A lot of people were getting pulled out of the pit from exhaustion/dehydration, and I didn't really care until I saw drangedsymphony getting pulled out by the security guard half dead and limped, and I began freaking out like crazy. This was probably by the 2nd/3rd song. However she told me she was sitting there for two minutes drinking cool water while right in front of Kyo. I didn't feel sorry for her anymore.
During the whole show, about 35-40 people began fainting and dehydrating and had to be pulled out of the moshpit, and a lot were crying and screaming from the heat and pain. I really can't blame them since the pit was the same feeling as if you were drowning in an oven along with fangirls that scream louder than Kyo himself. I helped about 8 people get out of the pit, and half of them already passed out which didn't help much since they were really big lolita girls with 5-inch platform boots. Two of them ended up squaring me in the jaw as they got pulled out. The more people I helped get out the farther I ended up getting pushed to the side and to the back.. which was insane.
Security guards fed us water and threw half empty waterbottles into the crowd and I managed to gracefully pull one out of 3 girls fighting for it XDDD;;
I've been to regular moshpits, but this is the first time i've been to a fangirl moshpit. People were elbowing me in the face and boobs, and everybody was leaning on top of each other. There was so much pressure that I didn't even need to stand. I leaned back and my legs werent even supporting me; I literally lied down and I was still standing perfectly fine.
Fanservice
As I was helping a really big lolita girl get out [already passed out and probably weighed over 190.. I know because I take weight training in gym] kyo suddenly turned his head and GLARED AT ME. This is when the true side of my fangirlism started kicking in. I began screaming and waving one arm and jumping like a retard, and then kyo stared at me for another good 3 seconds and then began to go crosseyed, and I resumed my crazy fangirlism. Then, the best part came in. Kyo began pulling down his pants to the most dangerous level where you can actually see his PUBES. The crowd went crazy as he began shaking his liquid hips with his pants on the merge of showing EVERYTHING. By this time already the fat lolita got out already. If this isn't a good enough visual, I have it explained on youtube. Excuse the horrible sketch IT WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE RECORDED.
My voice does not sound like that; my original voice has already been lost in the moshpit along with my gloves.
Toshiya also did a good amount of fanservice; he walked to the edge of the stage, and began to lick his lips and blow fish kisses into the crowd, and everyone went beserk including me. Toshiya's hair needed a cut, body is just... so hot it made up for everything.
Encore and the end
Diru pretended to leave, and the roadies came and pretended to pack up, the crowd began screaming "ENCOR-RU" which I thought they were saying "i'm kaoru" but then I realized they were just chanting "encore" in japanese.. if thats even the word. So everybody started chanting "dir en Grey" faster and faster while the head roadie put a thumbs down and shook his head. But after 5 minutes Diru came back out, the crowd went wild. The very last song was Clever Sleazoid in which EVERYBODY was singing to, and at the very end the whole theater just shook as everyone screamed out "ONE DAY I WILL FUCK YOUR PARENTS!"
Kyo actually can say "fuck" perfectly now; we're proud of you! <3
After the show
I managed to buy posters and shirts [some for spottedgayboy who couldnt make it, and none of my posters were signed. Tears D:
The weather was around 10 degrees by 11-12am but I was so happy to be out in the cool weather in short sleeves. drangedsymphony, Maria, and I decided to go to a diner near their dorm, and that explains the video of kyo and his hips XDDDD
As we parted ways, I also probably will plan to go to the Blood concert in march.. and I got home at 4am.
The experience was crazy; I'd definately do this again. And I miss kyo already! D;
