Home again.

The holiday weekend is over, and we're back home. The weather was absolutely beautiful, and there was a WHOLE LOT OF FOOD! I caught up with an old friend...and I really mean old friend. We've known each other since kindergarten. Visited cemeteries, planted flowers around Mom's house, and even managed a morning at the salon with Mom & my sister.

Welcome home! I hope that your trip was a good one.

I'm still in St. Augustine. Technically, I'm still in the tiny hamlet of Summer Haven on a barrier island on the northeast coast of Florida. I suppose it makes sense that a beach house has no internet access but I'm starting to twitch! (I'm very thankful for Starbuck's hot spots.)

I'll be back Thursday night in time to do vote counting/comments. Thank you for taking care of all the comm's needs while I'm lost in the unconnected wilds. (HOW did we live like this for decades before the internet?!?)

If I had a beach house? It would have to have internet access. Broadband, even. *g* Even though I didn't do much online while I was away, I was still connected, and could check email. And that's enough for a while, really. Just the thought of being disconnected is enough to give me the shakes. ;)

I left reminders in LJs last night for anyone who was still outstanding, and have gotten several more entries today, so hopefully everyone will be accounted for by the time voting goes up tonight.
