So you watch (or rewatch) something and the slash goggles slide into place juuuust so and you go read all the fic and none of all the fic has the huge-ass story you want to read for that pairing so the story takes over your head right when you're in the middle of something else and the pairing involved no longer has what most people would consider

I'm presuming the WIP refers to the Eagle fic, in which case you posted an update Thursday and it is the weekend now. It might be a good time for a bunny purge ;)

Yes to the Eagle fic, and you have a very good point because I'm already 75% into the next chapter. The problem is, there's probably 30k still to go on the WIP, whereas the bunny would conservatively work out 100/150k. So, much as I want to launch myself at the bunny, it's probably a better idea to try to have a modicum of discipline and finish the WIP first. I'm honestly enjoying writing the Eagle fic, want to see it finished, and how great would it be if I could control these random brain kidnappings to some degree in the future?

That said, I just managed 2.5 hours sleep between decongestant doses, and spent those 2.5 hours dreaming more detail into said bunny. Dammit.

Hmm, well, I suppose if you're going to apply logic to it, lol. That seems like a sign this bunny is going to be a persistent one, so perhaps it'll just stick around until the Eagle fic is done.

I wrote notes! Writing the notes was kinda like sticking a nicotine patch on, it'll hopefully tide me over till I've got time and space to get it out how I want it.

Honestly I basically love everything you write and read whether I ship the pairing or not . & I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one!!
So... I'd luuuuuuuve a new 100k fic to read especially if it helps you exorcise your bunnies!!

Oh man, I just need to say I totally know what it's like to feel like people are just side-eyeing you for writing something, especially if it's a fairly epic undertaking for a very rare pairing/fandom, but I'm sure people are never actually doing that. I hate/love the plot bunny rush, though, I don't remember the last time I got one when it was a convenient time for me to want to write something new.

My main issue is that the pairing's Ethan/Brandt from Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. So, big movie, but pretty small fandom, which I imagine is due to most sane people being squicked all to fuck by sex featuring a Tom-Cruise-shaped person. Which I usually would be, I mean, srsly. Side-eyeing myself is probably more accurate.

I wrote chapter-by-chapter notes, which helped stem the flood for the time being. Cliff notes fic, just to get me past the point for needing to write it NOW.

Oh, Tom Cruise may be a douchecanoe but I thought that movie was fun. If you ever write it I may just try to fill in some other actor in his place :)

Looool OMG as a massive Jeremy Renner fan (and I'm sorry - not sorry, but I like Tom Cruise too) I have been wanting fic for that film/pairing ever since I saw it. I seem to remember resolving to write some myself in the cinema actually but clearly I got distracted by something...shiny things or some such...prob for the best given that I can't write for toffee...

Anyway... with this in mind I have to say I will gladly be one of the people who really hopes yur bunnies go on a hopping.

Also I will reassemble myself into some form of coherence at some point to tell you how amazhing your eagle fic is because its wonderful.
