I started this comment right after norfolkdumpling's but was interrupted by visitors and couldn't get back to it until this morning! And now LJ won't let me post it. :( Also, while I think about it, I'd rather you posted rapid updates than answered my comments. :)

norfolkdumpling's first line is about the level of coherence I'm currently capable of and I too, may have my brain melting out of my ears. I think my ovaries also exploded.

I loved the first scene where Esca tries giving himself a stern talking to - your description of how he looks made me laugh only because it was so vivid I could totally picture it. The idea in church of Esca berating God and the Devil for tempting him so made me smile though I did sympathise with his frustration. Your description of Fanny was wonderful as was the whole shop scene, down to the gossipy villagers and the ribboned shop curtain - I REMEMBER THOSE!! God that brought back memories! These period details just bring it all so much to life. And Esca got kissed by the most handsome man in Scotland.

I love how Marcus went looking for Esca and at first believed that Esca was angry because he was straight...I love how he totally swerved off the road and took Esca somewhere private the moment Esca had put him straight...as it were. :)

And then....woweee!! The tension building up to that first scorching kiss was masterfully written, how they slowly came together and the moment their lips touched all their pent up feelings and arousal just exploded along with my ovaries...

I have to say that scene in the back of the car was scorching hot and Marcus? You naughty thing, you've sucked dick before, haven't you? Poor Esca's going to feel a bit gauche I suspect when it comes to his turn. :) But OMG, Esca opening his eyes to see Marcus sucking him down whole while rubbing himself thrugh his trouser...good grief woman, are you trying to kill me?

And yes, Esca, believe it! :D
