My Vonnegut Tribute Revealed
Did you find all of my references of tribute to Vonnegut? Take a look again at my Strip Fight 114 entry. Now feel the power of my obscurity.
Title: Case number 114.4 refers to the melting point of Ice-nine, 114.4 degrees Fahrenheit.
Frame 1: Dave is playing "cat's cradle." In the book, Felix Hoenikker was playing cat's cradle when the atom bomb dropped, in this case I drew in a "blond bomb." Hehe.
Frame 2: Dave requests nine ice cubes. In Cat's Cradle Ice-nine is an alternative structure of water that is solid at room temperature.
Frame 3: Footsie! "boku-maru," the intimate act of physical contact between the feet of two consenting adults. Ooh.
Yup, all the references are from Cat's Cradle the only Vonnegut book I've read. Surprisingly, wilypueo Dave didn't submit a script for this one.
